The mission of United Way is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good.

United Way of South Central Kentucky serves the 10-county Lake Cumberland area: Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, McCreary, Pulaski, Russell, Taylor, and Wayne.

Together with our Partner Agencies, on average we provide more than 71,000 instances of support across the region each year.

We win by LIVING UNITED. By forging unlikely partnerships. By finding new solutions to old problems. By mobilizing the best resources. And by inspiring individuals to join the fight against their community’s most daunting social crises. United Way fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every community. In order to live better, we must LIVE UNITED.

We acknowledge that racism and discrimination create obstacles for marginalized ethnic and social groups of people. Racism and discrimination uphold all other forms of oppression and are an injustice to all people. We recognize inequities exist for marginalized people groups as a result of decades of legal and cultural discrimination and seek to remove the barriers that have caused these inequities. We believe inequitable systems prevent all families from living their fullest potential and the family voice should be paramount.
