Somerset, KY – 08/28/2024 – United Way of South Central Kentucky (UWSCKY) has opened their application cycle for 2025 funding. Non-profits from across the 10-county Lake Cumberland Area (Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, McCreary, Pulaski, Russell, Taylor, and Wayne Counties) are invited to apply through traditional “Partner Agency” funding or “Mini Grant” funding for requests of $1,000 or less.
“For decades our Partner Agency funding has been the impact we are most known for in communities,” commented Crystal Cox, executive director of UWSCKY. “We still see great value in continuing this much-needed funding and collaboration with other non-profits in our region, even with our expanding internal programming.”
The Community Impact Committee works diligently each year to assess the needs of the region and then review the funding applications each fall. The committee determines which organizations and programs most closely align with the focus of UWSCKY, and with the needs of the region to make the most impactful use of UWSCKY funds.
Application details can be found on UWSCKY’s website by visiting www.uwscky.org/our-impact. Online applications will be accepted through Friday, September 27 at 5:00pm est. If completing an online application is a challenge for a non-profit, they may schedule a time to meet with UWSCKY by emailing info@uwscky.org or calling 606-679-2974.
